    உமக்கு உவப்பால் உரைத்தோம் வாழ்த்து
Thiruppugazh pArAyaNak kuzhuvinarE ...
    umakku uvappAl uraiththOm vAzhththu		 

    சொல்லில்தான் சந்தம் வைத்து - அருணகிரி
        அள்ளித்தான் தந்தான் திருப்புகழை
            கிள்ளித்தான் குடிக்க எண்ணாது - அதை
                அள்ளித்தான் பருகுவோம் அறிந்து

    சொல்லித்தான் சுவைப்பீர் இவ்வமுதை
        பல்கித்தான் பெருகும் வளமே
            துள்ளித்தான் திரிவீர் தினமே - உம்
                இல்லில்தான் நிலவும் சுகமே - பலம்

    நல்கித்தான் நிலைக்கும் நலமே - நற்
        செல்வத்தில் சிறப்பீர் வரமே
            மெல்லத்தான் மேன்மையுறும் மனமே - தினம்
                சொல்லத்தான் உள்ளுணர்வீர் சிவமே.

    திருப்புகழைப் பாடி உய்வோம் உயர்வோம்.

English transliteration

    sollilthAn sandham vaiththu - aruNagiri
        aLLiththAn thandhAn thiruppugazhai
            kiLLiththAn kudikka eNNAdhu - adhai
                aLLiththAn paruguvOm aRindhu

    solliththAn suvaippeer ivvamudhai
        palgiththAn perugum vaLamE
            thuLLiththAn thiriveer dhinamE - um
                illilthAn nilavum sugamE - balam

    nalgiththAn nilaikkum nalamE - nart
        selvaththil siRappeer varamE
            mellaththAn mEnmaiyuRum manamE - dhinam
                sollaththAn uLLuNarveer sivamE.
