Only Sri Pillai refers to it in his Vol.-III of 'Murugavel Panniru Thirumurai' published in 1952-53, in page 160, where he writes about Tiruvannamalai: "கோயிலில் மேலைப் பிராகாரத்தில் இவர் (அருணகிரி) அடக்கமான இடத்தில் இவருடைய உருவம் ஒன்று சிறிதாகச் செய்துவைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றது." But, in his research work on the life of the Saint, he too avoids mentioning about it, because he also believes in the parrot story! What a contradiction!!
