* The demons in Thiripuram were unconquerable unless they gave up their daily worship of Lord SivA. Realising this, Lord VishNu went to Thiripuram in the disguise of a Buddhist monk accompanied by NArathar as His disciple. They enchanted the demons in Thiripuram to such an extent that they neglected their daily worship of SivA. That was the moment when Lord SivA burnt Thiripuram down; only three demons who continued their worship of SivA were spared. |
